At Alchemy Acupuncture Studio, we believe that true healing happens in a space where everyone feels safe, seen, and respected. We are deeply committed to fostering an inclusive environment for all clients, staff, and community members—regardless of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, age, ability, background, or identity. We honour diversity not only in who we serve, but in how we serve. Our approach to care is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and cultural awareness, and we are dedicated to providing equitable, non-discriminatory healthcare that values the unique life experience of every person.
We acknowledge:
-
The social and cultural determinants of health impacting First Nations peoples
-
The systemic barriers, including racism and discrimination, that continue to affect access to care and life expectancy
We are committed to both grassroots and systemic change—advocating locally and nationally while also working alongside community organisations to uplift Indigenous voices and knowledge in health.
Our Commitment to Equity in Healthcare
To ensure our practice remains inclusive, accessible, and continuously evolving, we commit to:
-
Seeing diversity, inclusion, and equity as integral to our mission and community impact
-
Supporting the self-determination, informed consent, and autonomy of every individual in their health journey
-
Dismantling inequities within our own systems, policies, and care models
-
Reflecting on and addressing unconscious bias that can interfere with inclusive healthcare
-
Understanding how systemic barriers affect access, and working to reduce those barriers with compassion and accountability
-
Practicing transparent, respectful communication in all interactions
-
Dedicating ongoing time and resources to learn, unlearn, and better support the communities we serve—including trans and gender diverse people, and First Nations peoples.
At Alchemy Acupuncture Studio, inclusion isn’t just a value—it’s a practice. We’re here to walk alongside you with care that reflects who you are.
